European Waste Paper IndexThe European Waste Paper Index tracks the changing market prices in the European paper recycling and recovered paper fiber markets . The Index consists of a weighted basket of specific benchmark grades of scrap/recovered paper. The benchmarks include specific grades of scrap paper stock. The Index includes snapshots of 5 viewpoints of market trends : the past 7 days, past 30 days, past 90 days, past 1 year and past 2 years.The Composite Index is updated daily before noon EST and tracks 7 days per week. Transaction activity on the weekends is typically lighter; it is not uncommon to see no change reflected in the Index during this time period. The Composite Index is derived from current spot market prices originating from the Inter-Continental Paper Exchange (IPE). This source of data is proprietary in nature and may not reflect external markets trends.
