Sterling Silverware Scrap

Sterling Silverware Scrap shall consist of 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper.
CAUTION : the silver content is not always true as marked, each piece should be tested. (in most cases if the sterling marking is accompanied by the name of a reliable manufacturer, it has a high chance of being authentic).

Silver Electrical Contacts

Silver Electrical Contacts shall consist of electrical contacts made of silver alloy.
the contact should be clean and free of attachments.
This material should be tested and sold by the silver content as agreed between the buy and seller.

Bus Bars with Silver Contacts

Silver Contacts (on Bus Bars) shall consist of electrical contacts made of silver alloy still connected to a copper alloy bus bar.
The silver contacts should be removable by de-soldering, (any material that are un-cleanable by de-soldering should be sold as silver content scrap).
This material should be tested and sold by the silver content as agreed between the buy and seller.

Mercury/Silver Oxide Battery Scrap

Mercury/Silver Oxide Battery Scrap may contain a variety of scrap batteries that contain mercury and silver oxide. An analysis of the content should be provided.

Silver Plate Scrap shall consist of electroplated or roll plate silver materials,

Lead Free Solder Scrap

to meet compliance for the EU WEEE and RoHS directives manufactures have switched to a lead free solder which is tin based and commonly contains 3-4% silver and up to 1% copper

Dental Amalgam Scrap

Dental Amalgam Scrap shall consist of dental filling materials that are a silver alloy.
CAUTION : common dental amalgam is a Silver/Mercury alloy and should be treated with the proper handling and packaging methods to ensure the containment of Mercury vapors and Mercury exposure.

Scrap X-Ray Film shall consist of silver content x-ray film, should be clean and free of paper or envelopes, (any material in envelopes should be specified and sold separately).

Scrap Litho Film shall consist of silver content lithograph film, Should be free of paper or foreign materials.

Goldenrod Litho Film Scrap

Scrap Litho Film shall consist of silver content lithograph film, may contain paper attachments (commonly known as GoldenRod) used in lithograph paste-ups.

Green Film Scrap

Scrap Green Film shall consist of un-developed, un-exposed silver content x-ray film, lithograph film or black & white photographic film

Fixer Solutions

Fixer Solutions shall consist of silver bearing photographic fixer solutions, generated from X-Ray, lithograph or black & white photography. This material should be properly packaged and labeled for transportation.
This materials should be tested (assayed) and sold by the silver content. as agreed upon by the buy and seller.

Bleach Fix Solutions

Bleach Fix Solutions shall consist of silver bearing photographic fixer solutions, generated from color photography. This material should be properly packaged and labeled for transportation.
This materials should be tested (assayed) and sold by the silver content. as agreed upon by the buy and seller.

Silver Flake

Silver Flake shall consist of clean dry Silver flakes recovered by electroplating photographic fixer solutions.
This materials should be tested (assayed) and sold by the silver content. as agreed upon by the buy and seller.
